What This Involves

Rights that are not enforced erode. We act for clients whose brands are being used without authority — by direct competitors, by counterfeiters, and increasingly through online marketplaces and social platforms. Our work covers cease and desist correspondence, opposition and cancellation actions, infringement and passing off proceedings, action against counterfeit goods, and takedown of unauthorised online use.

How We Advise

We assess the strength of the client's position before acting, because an aggressive letter from a weak position invites a counterattack. Where the position is strong we set out the escalation path and its likely cost and timeline, and act on instruction.

When to Instruct Us

The moment unauthorised use appears. Delay weakens both the legal position and the commercial one.
