Purpose of licensing

Licensing means renting or leasing of an intangible asset (trademark, copyright, patents etc). it involves obtaining permission for a certain period of time in which it manages contract between the brand owner and the one (company or individual) who wants to manufacture and sell its products within a defined territory. It creates agreement for certain period of time in a certain territory.
